BEF holds an annual Big Day of Giving online fundraiser each May. We raised over $22,000 in 2023 and 2024. Some of those funds went towards sending about a third of our school's teachers to a really cool weeklong Responsive Classroom training/retreat. In 2022, BEF used the funds it raised to:

- Transform Bowman's little-used central courtyard into an Outdoor Pavillion, which has created an amazing multipurpose gathering space for numerous learning, social and dining opportunities.
- Purchase 400+ new and classic books for a much-needed refresh to our school's aging library collection.
